How I get my name
I looking through my old blog entries, but I never put my FAQs on here, so this the the first of them - How I get my name:
After I get lost from my family, every one call me "Black Cat".
"Oh look, that Black Cat is back."
"I thought the Black Cat got killed."
"No, that was another Black Cat."
As you can see...this get confusing.
When Loretta-Bean take me in, she call me "Honey Bunny". This silly name for a cat because cats are not made by bees, nor are they bunnies. Bunnies are bunnies, cats are cats, and bees sting. I think maybe she thought it meant I was sweet or something, but I pretty sure, I not sweet. After all, I groom myself all the time, she not groom me, so how does she know how I taste?
When I moved in with my new Bean, she call me Diamond, because I have a little white spot on my chest that looks like a diamond pendant. This was better than Honey Bunny and I guess it also means that I'm precious, which is good, because I like to know that I am of value to someone. BUT, I also have pretty green eyes, so I decide that my middle name is Emerald-Eyes. So then just to make sure that everyone knows I'm precious, I add that in too.
So my whole name now is Diamond Emerald-Eyes Precious Black Cat. I think that pretty good name.
(I do not think the little white diamond mark makes me tuxedo cat, but i do not think that mean that I not tuxedo cat either. I could be tuxedo cat if I want to be. But ladycats don't usually wear tuxedos, I have my black formal dress on , as you can see. So instead of tuxedo cat, I am dressed up cat!)

It is a really wonderful name that truly expresses you!

Why can't a gerlcat wear a tuxedo. Sadie sez she wears a tuxedo dress...
Jessie (actually a gerbil!) is estimated at 2 to 2 1/2 months old, but she could be older easily, but yes gerbils get to it pretty young!
(Honestly, we're not sure if she is...but Bekah, her pet, really hopes so! We'll see with time...)
props!

btw what a cute story! :)
Diamond is a lovely name and it suits you. Girlcats can be tuxedos, and women can wear tuxedos too!
Hi there, Diamond-Emerald-Eyes-Precious-Black-Cat! Whew, what a mouth full! I remember reading your blog a long time ago on PetsPlaces about how you got this wonderful name. It is a good story. That is why I never just call you Diamond, like most of your readers do, it is always Diamond-Emerald-Eyes, to me. The Precious Black Cat part just goes without saying, because all us Pets know that you are special and precious! I think we Pets should all be entitled to add what ever we want to our names. I am just known as Little Bit....what's up with that? Little Bit of what? I think my humans should have added something better to it like Little Bit Of Paradise or Little Bit Of Love or Little Bit Of Sneakiness....what do you think? I kind of like Little Bit Of Love, myself.....I think I shall add that to my name. Does that seem good enough? Your Bean must have been confused at first when she started calling you Honey Bunny....I am glad that you set her straight on your real name. Let me know what you think of adding that to my name? I am mostly on PikaPet, now, but I always get your Xanga blog e-mail notification, since I am a subscriber to your blog. Meow at you later my furry friend!
